Collierville, TN is a historic town 30 minutes east of Memphis. In the 1830’s, the founders settled in Collierville due in part of the strategic location of the stagecoach route between Memphis and Oxford, MS. Initially known as an agricultural community, it quickly became incorporated in 1850 with the arrival of the Memphis and Charleston Railroad. Due to the city’s accessibility to the railroad, Collierville continued to grow by facilitating transportation and trade, which further connected Collierville to regional and national markets.
As the years went by Collierville continued to grow and modernize while still focusing on their identity as a small, Southern community while adapting to changes in transportation and commerce. Collierville is often praised for its quality of life, with well-regarded schools, parks, and community amenities. The town’s suburban atmosphere, combined with historic charm, makes it an attractive place to live. The city’s square was named as The Parade Magazine’s Best Main Street in 2014 and Collierville is where the FedEx IT World Technology Center is located .
